The FWPMI chapter is led by a leadership team of over 30 volunteers - and ultimately by its elected board of officers. Check out the Area of Interest / Concern section of the website for specific leaders/officers to contact.
New Members - Your membership information is provided to the chapter by PMI Global - usually within 1-3 days of registration. The Fort Worth Chapter will send you an email with Chapter website logon information the moment we get your membership details from PMI Global. If, in the meantime, there's an upcoming workshop or other event that you would like to attend, feel free to contact membership for assistance.
Questions About Events
Actually, you can do this yourself! Log-in to the chapter website and select the event. You will see the “cancel” button. Be aware that a refund is not applicable if you do not cancel with sufficient notice. You may view the chapter's cancellation policy. If you feel that you are entitled to a refund, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I get a copy? Most speakers are willing to share their presentations with those who attended the meeting. Please send us an email with your request.
Lunch and dinner meetings dress code is typically business casual. This is also true for other events that occur during the work week. Weekend events are more casual but should still be appropriate for the event type. Keep in mind that many facilities tend to be cool. You might want to bring a jacket or sweater with you.
As a member benefit, the chapter will file your PDU for any chapter event worth 1-2 PDUs. If you wish to file yourself, all the information you need can be found on your printed receipt. Please note at registration “do not file” when you sign the registration sheet. Typically it will take 1-2 weeks after an event for the PDU to show up on your record. If it hasn’t shown up, feel free to send an email to us.
You will file your PDUs using PMI's Credential Certification Requirements System (CCRS). Log in to the PMI website and under MyPMI you'll find the link to view or file PDUs. There are different filing requirements depending on the PDU category. Please refer to the certification handbook for specific questions. Renewing your certification just got a whole lot easier! Certification renewal is quick and easy by using the convenient online option. Log in to the PMI website, go to your 'MyPMI' page and follow the link.
Membership & Volunteering
The easiest method is through the www.pmi.org website. Click 'Join' (upper right corner of page). You will have the option to add chapter membership at this time as well.
If you are already a PMI member and wish to join our chapter, Go to the PMI Global website www.pmi.org. Log in using your PMI member ID and password. Click 'Get Involved' and then click the 'chapter' link. Select the chapter and click the 'join' button.
Yes, go to www.pmi.org. Log in and go to 'MyPMI' Your certification status should appear on the right side of the page with links to renew (if appropriate).
Communications & Preferences
The chapter sends out two email newsletters per month that contains all upcoming chapter events scheduled in the next 2-3 months. If you are not receiving it, please add yourself to the email distribution list. Sign up can be found on the home page look for the “subscribe to newsletter & events”. Type in your email address and click “go”. You will be guided through the process.
Chapter Members - Log into the PMI Global website at www.pmi.org. Go to MyPMI to update your profile including email address, telephone numbers, employer, etc. This information will be sent from PMI Global to the Fort Worth Chapter within 1-3 days, and automatically updated on the Chapter website. Vital chapter communications may be delayed or undeliverable if your information is not kept current.
Non-Chapter Members - Select 'My Account' on the chapter website main menu.
Need to change meal options or communication preferences? Select 'My Account' on the chapter website main menu and go to the User Information screen. (If you're a chapter member, most of your information is maintained on the PMI Global website and then passed to the Chapter).
