Privacy Notice

Our Commitment to Privacy
The Fort Worth Chapter of PMI (“the Chapter”) privacy notice documents our commitment to combine the highest quality services with the highest level of integrity when dealing with our members, non-members and partners. This notice explains how the Chapter collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide to assist you in making informed decisions when using the Chapter website. This notice will be evaluated and updated as new technologies emerge and/or PMI requirements or applicable laws change.

What Information Do We Collect?
When you visit the Chapter web site (http://www.fwpmi.org/) to register for an event, you will be required to enter your PMI member number. That number is validated against the latest information from PMI Headquarters. The event cost is calculated based on your membership status. In order to enhance the website, we may track the way visitors are using the site. Personal information, such as your name and e-mail address, is not included in this analysis. We do not follow your browsing path outside of www.fwpmi.org. When registering for an event, you may be asked to provide certain private information - including your name, postal address and e-mail address (depending on your PMI membership status).  The Chapter does not use or release any information for any purpose except to verify your transaction. Payment information (Credit Card number and PayPal information) is not accessed or retained by the Chapter in any manner. The website maintains a list of the users who have attempted to process transactions (successful or not) for each event. This provides a registration list for that event. Information from these transactions is not released to any third parties.

Confidentiality
Registration Data is the property of the Chapter. This information is subject to and protected by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (http://personalinfomediary.com/ECPA1986_text.htm). The Chapter will not sell, rent,  or otherwise disclose your Registration Data to any third party.

Cookies
The Chapter website utilizes “cookies” to assist users in the login process.

Uses of Registration Data
The Chapter does not use your registration data to send you information about the Chapter website, products or services. Email communications from the Chapter to the membership will be sent to addresses currently on file. Non-members may request email communications from the Chapter. Those communications are made at the individual’s request and are not generated from the website. As a user, you have the ability to “opt-out” of Chapter notification by 1) stating your preferences in your PMI profile and/or 2) “opt-out” from the e-newsletter specifically.

Updating User Information
If you wish to update your contact information on the Chapter website, you must first update your membership profile directly on the PMI.org website. It is the responsibility of each member to keep this information correct and up to date.
