This presentation is designed for project managers ready to transition from traditional project management to true Project Leadership. Focusing on the leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills needed to lead high-impact projects and inspire teams.

Speaker - Taopheek Babayeju, PfMP, DASM, DASSM, OTI, PMI ATP Instructor

Taopheek BABAYEJU is a transformation expert, management & technology professional, and author. He has over two decades of experience and expertise in strategy, organizational - digital - and agile transformation, project, program & portfolio management, PMO delivery, technology consulting, information and cybersecurity, change management, risk management, learning and development. A trusted executive advisor, Mr. Babayeju has over the years helped several organizations to achieve their strategic objectives. He has had the privilege of leading high-impact transformation projects and programs, managed several multi-million-dollar portfolios, and delivered value across different sectors such as IT, Telecoms, Finance, Agric, Construction, Health, Education, Government, Development, etc. Since 2009, Mr. Babayeju has served as the CEO of iCentra, a business and technology solutions company. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its presence from Abuja, Nigeria to Texas, United States, with a contact office in London, United Kingdom, serving clients globally.

Taopheek holds an MBA from Lagos Business School and has acquired executive education from renowned institutions such as Harvard Business School and IESE Business School, coupled with several other global certifications. He studied Physics Science at the undergraduate level at Lagos State University, and later trained as a telecoms network and infrastructure engineer at United Kingdom Telecommunications Academy (UKTA). Mr. Babayeju’s expertise in the field of technology and management has positioned him for leadership position on the board of several business and not-for-profit organizations. Beyond his business endeavors, Mr. Babayeju has dedicated himself to empowering people and organizations to unlock possibilities and create new opportunities for societal betterment. He has co-founded and led several social enterprises, including LeadPreneur, W40 and ProMaCon Africa.

Mr. Babayeju is also an angel investor and a mentor to many start-ups; he has served as a member of several government technology and innovation initiatives including the Presidential Committee on Innovation where he contributed to the development of innovation policy for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mr. Babayeju is a published author, contributor to Forbes Magazine, and columnist for BusinessDay newspaper, among others. He is an active voice and advocate for innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship, having written numerous scholarly articles. His work has been featured in major media outlets, highlighting his significant contributions to these fields. He is a recipient of several awards and recognitions including the PMI Global Eric Jenett Person of the Year Award (2024). And PMI Nigeria Excellence Award for the Most Outstanding Contribution to Project Management (2010).
