About Our Speaker:
Speaker - Blake Carpenter
My name is Blake Carpenter, and I am originally from North Carolina. I am currently employed as the Manager of Student Data Services for University Analytics at the University of Texas at Arlington. I work with advisors and faculty in the use of online tools to help students be more successful in the classroom and in their experience at UTA. I also hold the position of French Lecturer and serve as the Coordinator for the Localization and Translation program in the Department of Modern Languages.
This year marks my 38th year as an instructor and my 26th year at UTA. Before moving to the Metroplex, I taught French for 9 years in the North Carolina Public School system at the high school level. I have also taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at the Université de Nice in France. My junior year was spent studying at the Université de Montpellier in southern France. I earned a Master of Divinity Degree with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2001. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree from B. H. Carroll Theological Seminary with an anticipated graduation date of May 2024.
