Course Description
Project Management professionals are familiar with the concepts of traditional project management, but some companies are turning to Agile Project Management. In this course, students will not only receive a thorough introduction to Agile project management, but will also learn how it aligns with traditional, PMBOK-based project management.
If you're considering PMI's new Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), this course will give you 8 contact hours toward that certification in addition 8 PDUs or contact hours toward the PMP certification.
Course Objective
Students will identify the Agile project management principles and learn how to use Scrum to manage projects.
Target Student
This course is intended for Project Managers, Program Managers, or anyone who wants to learn about Agile Project Management.

Instructor: Phil Williams, PMP, PMI-ACP
Phil Williams is a consultant, speaker and senior instructor with Banyan Group Consulting. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) with extensive experience working with clients large and small across many industries.
As an instructor, Phil brings knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to his classes and workshops. It’s his personal mission to deliver knowledge that will enable project management professionals to be more effective and achieve greater success.
Phil has a BBA from Baylor University and currently lives in the Texas hill country near Boerne.

How do I become a Fort Worth Chapter member?
If you are already a PMI member and wish to join our chapter, Go to the PMI Global website www.pmi.org. Log in using your PMI member ID and password. Click "Get Involved" and then click the "chapter" link. Select the chapter and click the "join" button.
