Lunch and Learn - The Map to Your PMI Membership: Finding All of the Benefits to Being a PMI Member
Ever wondered about all of the PMI membership benefits you always hear about? Thought to yourself, how do I get that? I have been a member for years, and I didn’t know that!

During this virtual presentation, Melissa Bennett, our PMI Chapter Engagement Partner, will discuss all of the benefits of being a PMI Member, and more importantly, she will show us how to take advantage of them. With all of the updates to PMI.org, it is important for all of us to know how to navigate the new website, and where we can find these mysterious benefits people always talk about.

Learning Objectives:

      • Discover why PMI membership is more than a credential—it's a community and a career advantage.
      • Explore the latest updates to PMI.org and PM.com and learn how they’re designed to elevate your member experience.
      • Uncover new, fun, and meaningful ways to get involved and maximize your PMI and Fort Worth Chapter membership benefits.

Melissa Bennett
Chapter Engagement Partner, Regions 4 & 6

A proud native of Memphis, Melissa is a lifelong lover of great music and even better BBQ. She now calls Houston home and shares life there with her two pups, Linus and Lexi.

Melissa has been with PMI Headquarters for four years, serving as a Chapter Engagement Partner supporting Regions 4 & 6. Before joining PMI, she spent eight years with an association management company, partnering closely with chapters on website and board management, event planning, and her favorite area—marketing.

Her first real introduction to project management came earlier in her career, working in the IT department of a 15-site hospital system in Memphis, where she learned on the job from some of the best PMs around.

Melissa credits much of her customer-centric approach to her first job after earning her degree in Public Relations at the University of Memphis. She worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for five years in various roles, but truly enjoyed learning the importance of prioritizing stakeholders.

When she’s not collaborating with volunteers, you can find Melissa spending time with her niece and two nephews, planning her next trip to visit friends, and of course spoiling Linus and Lexi.
